The Russo-Japanese War 1904-05, and the related topics: Military, Politics, Diplomacy, Economy, Law, Technology, Sociology, Culture, etc.
Location
Matsuyama: This is the biggest city in Shikoku (the smallest of Japan’s four major islands). There are a beautiful castle, a famous hot spring spa, and many historical sites in the city center, where the first POW camps were established in the Russo-Japanese War.

Presentation
Scholars, who shall give a presentation, please send the summary (almost 300 words) to the following e-mail up to the end of February.
*The Military History Society of Japan issues 4 volumes of the Gunji Shigaku (Military History Journal) in Japanese every year. Each presenter’s summary will be translated into Japanese and be published in the journal in the end of 2025.
Scholars, who would like to publish his/her article in English in Japan, the organizing committee will seek any journals in English for him/her in Japan.
